We are a small kennel located in southern Kentucky, near the border of Tennesee. AMPX is owned and ran by myself and my husband. We just can't seem to love any other breed. The American Pit Bull terrier is the only one for us. As a child I grew up with pits. My uncles owned and fought their dogs. I always knew that their was a better life for this beautiful, loving, loyal animal. At the time I was to young, but I told myself then, that one day I am going to do my best to help this breed. That is how I got started with these wonderful companions.

 We, as with a lot of pit bull breeders, started out with non-registered dogs, and then worked our way up. At 16 I got my first pit mix. My mix passed on me in Oct 2007 at the age of 12 she will be missed. She was the best dog I had ever seen, the smartest and most loyal of any animal I had ever owned. As I tracked her sire and dam down I realized that it was the American Pit Bull Terrier in her that made her all these wonderful things I loved. After that it was up hill for us. We started rescuing pits from fighting homes, just anywhere we thought they needed help we took them in. The more we worked with them the more we realized that we could do this forever. After a year of rescue we decided to get into registered, companion, protection, and try the show world of pits. We never knew that it would go this far. Always, knowing that they were special, we held on and they led the way for us. Now, after all this time still we love this breed, hoping to change minds and hearts about how they are seen in the public eye. 

As you step into our yard, we hope that you enjoy being here and hope that you will return. We breed for sound minds, confirmation, protection, loyalty, and drive. We have PR/UKC and ADBA registered American Pit Bull Terriers . We started with colby, watchdog, and a few others. Now we have moved to Razors Edge, Gotty/greyline, and more bloodlines. We now have a few dogs from different back grounds, hoping to make a new start with them. We update often and would love to have everyone check back for updates.
